Death Row Inmate Waives Extradition

A death row inmate is waiving extradition and will return to Texas once paperwork is complete.

On Monday, Charles Victor Thompson remained in a Shreveport, Louisiana jail. A phone call led authorities to a Louisiana liquor store just before ten o'clock Sunday night. That's where they found Thompson talking on the phone. Police say he was intoxicated.

Thompson was on the run for nearly four days after escaping a Houston jail. He is on death row for the 1998 murders of his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.
