Morning Traffic Accident Leaves Two Hospitalized

Lubbock Police were forced to search for victims of a traffic crash Monday morning.

It happened at the intersection of Clovis and Erskine around two o'clock Monday morning. The driver and passengers had fled the scene. Police later located two passengers at University Medical Center where 19-year-old Vanessa Torres remains in serious condition. 20-year-old Terry Ortega is in satisfactory condition. A third passenger, 21-year-old Chase Speers was found at a home in the 3800 Block of 26th Street, bleeding from the head. He's since been treated and released from Covenant. The driver also went to Covenant for injuries.

He could face charges of intoxication assault.
