DNA Being Tested in Lamesa Homicide - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

DNA samples are being tested in the death investigation of a Lamesa man.

The DPS Crime Lab is comparing DNA evidence found on the body to DNA recovered from other places related to the crime. NewsChannnel 11 was the first to tell you that autopsy reports revealed Michael Lopez died from multiple sharp and blunt force trauma wounds. Lopez's body was found late Friday afternoon in a shallow-grave next to his cousin's home.

A Lubbock attorney called Lamesa authorities Friday, telling them his client had information on where to locate the body. Lopez was last seen with his cousin Tuesday night at a Lamesa convenience store.
