Lubbock Motorist Crashes Through Interstate Guardrail - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock motorist is injured after he crashed his truck through a guardrail Friday morning.

It happened shortly before 5 o'clock on the Northbound access road at I-27. Police say 27-year-old Jon Anthony Ruiz was speeding South on Avenue A, when he missed the curve at the intersection. He crashed through the barrier, and tumbled down the embankment. EMS took Ruiz to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, police cited him for his failure to control speed, hitting the guardrail, and no insurance.
