Weekend Standoff Ends With Three Arrests

A standoff in Central Lubbock this weekend ended with three arrests.

Lubbock Police responded to a report of "shots fired" around 7 o'clock Sunday morning in the 2100 Block of 17th Street. Officers arrested 27-year-old Hector Gonzalez following a standoff that lasted more than two hours. He is charged with discharging a firearm and tampering with evidence.

Police also arrested 32-year-old Jose Jimenes for outstanding warrants and 53-year-old Emilia Valero Bara for hindering apprehension.
