Lubbock Police Continue Investigating Lovato's Death

Lubbock Police investigators are retracing Michelle Lovato's steps just hours before she was kidnapped and killed.

Police tell us they're talking with witnesses trying to determine what happened before Steven Lovato allegedly kidnapped and stabbed Michelle to death early Saturday morning. Autopsy reports indicate she died from head wounds and multiple stab wounds. The body was found in a van near 106th and Chicago. Steven Lovato is behind bars at the Lubbock County Jail, charged with aggravated kidnapping and murder.

Michelle Lovato's family, meanwhile, is asking for your help. They've set up a fund at American State Bank to help pay for funeral costs and needs for the three children left behind.
