Police Find Suspicious Package In Central Lubbock

Police are investigating a suspicious device found in Central Lubbock Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 6pm Lubbock Police were called to 23rd and Avenue P. That's were police found two men in a car with what they call a suspicious package. Police arrested the men on unrelated warrants and called in the bomb squad.

A neighbor caught the events unfolding on tape. Once the package was safely removed from the neighborhood, police took it to their firing range to x-ray it. They say that's where they'll detonate it, if necessary.
