City Reminds Residents To Turn Off Sprinklers

Lubbock city officials are reminding residents to turn off automatic sprinklers.

Many Lubbock residents woke up Wednesday morning to find a sheet of ice across their lawns. Home and business owners need to know that watering during freezing weather is not only prohibited by the city's water ordinance, but it can be dangerous as well. First time offenders will receive a warning. After that, you could face a fine up to $500.

For more information, give the water hotline a call at ( 806) 775-3952 .
