Former Lubbock Jailer Indicted By Grand Jury

A former Lubbock jailer could stand trial for allegedly beating an inmate.

Tuesday afternoon, a Lubbock Grand Jury indicted Darrin Johnson for aggravated assault by a public servant. Johnson is accused of hitting an inmate while working the nightshift in October. Another jailer witnessed it happen.

Johnson resigned shortly after the incident.
