Donations Needed For Marine Care Packages

There will be empty seats at tables across the South Plains Thursday. Each seat will represent a soldier still fighting in Iraq.

"Lubbock Marine Parents" want to make sure those soldiers aren't forgotten. The group is collecting items to put in Christmas packages for Lubbock Marines. They need everything from toiletries, socks, and chap stick to entertainment items like CDs, DVDs, and magazines. Individual snacks are also needed like beef jerky, breakfast bars, and candy.

You can drop off donations at 4211 41st Street or call 795-2639.
