Lubbock Night Club Bouncer Murdered

A Mexican-national is in jail charged with murdering a Lubbock night club bouncer. Police say two brothers were fighting inside the Sonidos night club just before 12:30am Sunday.

When 25-year-old Gabriel Thomas Hernandez tried to throw the brothers out of the club, a third brother, 28-year-old Ruben Lopez stabbed him. Lopez then fled the area.

NewsChannel 11 was on the scene when the two other brothers were arrested. They are currently being held for the US Border Patrol. Police later found Lopez in the 6500 block of Avenue T. He has been charged with murder and is currently being held at the Lubbock County Jail.
