A Lubbock-Cooper High School graduate has plenty of shopping money to spend after winning big on Wheel of Fortune.

Valerie May appeared on the game show Monday night. She solved the final puzzle by guessing the phrase,"Folk Tale" and won $54,000 plus a trip to Mexico. Her parents, Van and Cindy May of Lubbock, were also there to celebrate with her.
