Pentagon Helps Cannon AFB Find New Purpose - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Cannon Air Force is looking for a new mission and this week, the Pentagon is helping it find one.

An eight member team, appointed by the Pentagon is in Clovis, New Mexico this week. They're evaluating potential new missions for the base.

Last summer, the base closure and re-alignment commission or BRAC voted to keep Cannon open under the condition that it finds a new mission by 2010.
