Magic 93.7 Hosts Donation Drive For Lubbock Family

Radio listeners came together Friday to help the family of a Lubbock nightclub bouncer. Gabriel Hernandez was stabbed to death early Sunday morning when trying to break up a fight at the Sonido's Nightclub.

Friday morning, Magic 93.7 put out a call for donations to help the Hernandez family. Gabriel left behind two daughters, ages two and one, and his wife is due to give birth to a baby boy in just a few weeks.

"It's the season of giving, season of family, and season of joy, and right now they don't have much joy. And, we're just trying to make it a little bit easier for them," Magic 93.7 deejay Jennifer Martinez said.

The family is in need of diapers, blankets and clothes for the children. You can take your donations to the radio station at 98th and University. Or, you can make a monetary donation, at Plains Capital Bank.
