A woman is dead, after a head on collision in north Lubbock county. 21-year-old Lindsay Kendrick of Lubbock died after her Oldsmobile Alero collided head on with a Ford F350 just after 3:30am Monday morning.
DPS troopers say Lindsay Michelle Kendrick was driving the wrong way on the interstate when her car struck a truck head-on. 35-year-old Brian Polson of Lubbock was driving the truck and was not injured. Kendrick, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Kendrick grew up in Lubbock and was employed at a local sports bar. She graduated from Monterey High School in 2002 and attended South Plains College. A family friend tells us she was a free-spirit who had a lot of friends. "She was a wonderful person a beautiful young lady lots of energy very social," said family friend Diana Karr.
Funeral services for Lindsay Kendrick are set for 10:30am Thursday morning at Indiana Baptist Church.
