Lubbock Police are investigating an overnight stabbing that happened minutes before a pickup collided with two parked cars.

Police found Michael Salas around 3:30am this morning beneath a carport at 35th and Boston. He was taken to University Medical Center where he was in satisfactory condition at last report.

Investigators believe the stabbing happened minutes earlier at the Sunset Motel on Clovis Road. That's where police arrested 25-year-old Sarah Montoya Reyna on drug charges. Police are not saying how she knew Salas.
