Police Need Help Finding Purse Snatchers

Two suspected purse snatchers are on the run tonight and Lubbock police need your help to identify them. NewsChannel 11's Jennifer Vogel tells us where the victim's story begins.

NewsChannel 11 recently received an e-mail from the victim. She said she was inside her child's daycare for just two minutes, and that's all it took for thieves to strike. Just hours later, the card was making purchases at the mall. J.C. Penney surveillance cameras caught two suspects.

Police say the two people were captured on cameras last Tuesday. They apparently used that card to do some of their holiday shopping. The first suspect is described as a heavy set white or Hispanic woman. She was last seen with dark hair, a white jacket and blue jeans. The second, is a white or Hispanic man. He had dark hair, and was dressed all in blue. If you have any information that could help detectives solve this case, please call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.

The victim also told NewsChannel 11 that her credit card company declined the purchase. But police hope to identify these suspects before they strike again.

Police tell us car-break-ins spike during the holidays, so make sure you take your purse with you, even if you're leaving for just a few minutes and if you're shopping, put your packages in the trunk or cover them.
