When we think of police officers, we may think of the people who give us speeding tickets or the people we call if we need help. In some cases, police officers are life-savers.
The Lubbock Police Department honored Officer Curtis Wadkins with the Life Saving award. Wadkins administered CPR to a man who had collapsed in his driveway. Wadkins was able to revive the man's breathing and pulse before EMS arrived. Wadkins says, "It's a big moment for the Lubbock Police Department because that's not normally our role. We don't usually participate in those types of situations but it's nice to know we have the training when those situations happen."
The police department also recognized Corporal Donnie Davidson and Officer David Savell with distinguished service awards.
