Failure to yield the right of way caused a three vehicle collision in East Lubbock Friday.
Police say the driver of a Dodge truck stopped at the stop sign at East Loop 289 and 50th Street but then failed to yield the right of way to a Mercury. The vehicles collided, sending the truck into a telephone pole. A semi truck then ran over the pole, causing a small gas leak. EMS took three people to the hospital with moderate injuries.
