Welcome Home Celebration for Local Soldiers - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A welcome home celebration was held for about 120 soldiers of the 2nd Battalion of the 142nd Infantry Saturday. The event was held at the Reserve Center. While most said they were happy to be back in Texas there's one thing that every solider missed while serving away from home - their family. The soldiers performed security missions and support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past year.
