DPS Troopers say alochol was involved in a Hockley County accident that killed a Lubbock man this weekend.
Roy Sanchez was thrown out of a Dodge Ram pickup Saturday night. DPS Troopers say the driver went off the road, overcorrected, and then hit a telephone poll. The driver and another passenger picked up Sanchez and then drove him to a house in Lubbock County where they called EMS.
Sanchez was taken to Covenant Medical Center and pronounced dead there. The investigation into the accident continues.
Swiss police say that five people have been hospitalized, two of them with serious injuries, following an incident in the northern city of Schaffhausen.
