Libertarians Announce Their Candidacy - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The filing deadline is January 2nd and two more Lubbock County Libertarians are putting their name on the ballot for the 2006 election.

Former Lubbock police officer and Deputy Sheriff Dan Moore is running for Lubbock County Commissioner Precinct Two. The incumbent James Kitten, has said he will not seek re-election. Slaton Ag teacher Justin Martin has entered the race as a Democrat.

Self-employed disc jockey Brandon Stacker wants more local decisions on state textbooks. That's why the Libertarian has announced his candidacy for State Board of Education, District 15. Stacker says he also supports charter schools and vouchers.
