Fire Scorches 40 Acres In North Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A fire scorched more than 40 acres of grass, in Lubbock, near Farm to Market Road 2641 and I-27.

It started around 1:30 Sunday afternoon, but fire fighters say because of the wind it took them more than three hours to get it under control. At least 60 fire fighters from four different departments responded to the blaze.
