The Lubbock County Medical Examiners Office released new information Sunday about the bones found just more than a week ago near Buffalo Springs Lake. A skull was first found December 29, 2005 on CR 835. Since then about 90 percent of the bones have been recovered.
The chief medical examiner and an anthropologist met Sunday. They say the remains are of a 12-19 year old male. He had short curly dark hair and was about 5'6 to 5'9. They added that there is evidence of traumatic injuries. The medical examiners office suspects the body has been there for about 15 months. A new conference is scheduled for Monday. NewsChannel 11 will be there and have the latest for you at 5, 6 and 10.
