Former City Councilman Wants To Make Comeback

He resigned as Lubbock City Councilman, two years ago. Now Victor Hernandez tells NewsChannel 11 he wants his old job back.

Hernandez served as District One Councilman for 10 years before resigning his post in 2004. He resigned to run for municipal judge, but lost that election. Hernandez says he is seriously considering running for city council again because citizens living in District One want him back.

NewsChannel 11 contacted current District One Councilwoman Linda DeLeon. She was not aware of Hernandez's plan, but tell us she is confident she will win her re-election.
