New crime fighting equipment for the region is now housed right here in Lubbock.
Tuesday afternoon, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, or ATF, unveiled its new National Response Truck. Federal, state and local agencies can use the truck to respond to crimes, fires and other disasters.
"This can be used as a mobile command post. It has evidence collecting kits, documentation for photos, anything you need to document a crime scene is on this truck," said ATF Agent, David Opperman.
It's one of 40 trucks in the nation. Until now, the closest one was in Dallas.
