Dozens of patients are waiting for life saving transfusions in Lubbock. That's because United Blood Services can not fill more than a hundred orders of O-positive blood.
O-positive is needed most, but the supply of O-negative and A-negative are also completely exhausted. Other types are also in short supply. That's why the center has extended its evening hours for the next two days. They'll be open until 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
If you can help, please stop by UBS at 48th and University, or call (806) 741-1752 to make an appointment.
