U.S. Soldier Presents City Council With American Flag

An American flag that once flew in Iraq is now framed at City Hall in council chambers.

Major Reginald Jackson with the 142nd battalion presented the City of Lubbock with an American flag Thursday morning. The battalion flew the flag while fighting in Iraq.

"If this flag could talk, it would tell the tale of great West Texas soldiers who fought the good fight and served honorably," said Major Reginald Jackson, U.S. Army 142nd Battalion.

Lubbock welcomed the 142nd Battalion with yellow ribbon week in December.
