Congressman Neugebauer Thanks Area Fire Fighters - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

In the past month, South Plains fire fighters have fought numerous grass fires. That's why Congressman Randy Neugebauer is traveling across the area recognizing fire fighters for their efforts. Neugebauer says, "These first responders are fighting fires. They're protecting our communities and I wanted to thank them for their service."

On Friday, Neugebauer thanked the Littlefield volunteer fire fighters for their efforts. He then presented them with a $135,000 grant from the Department of Homeland Security. The money will be used for equipment and protective gear.
