Skeletal Bones Sent To Dallas For DNA Identification

Skeletal remains found near Buffalo Springs Lake in December are still awaiting DNA identification.

The Lubbock County Medical Examiners office tells NewsChannel 11 they've turned over their evidence into the Texas Rngers. DNA samples have also been sent to Dallas for a search through the missing person's database.

The bones were first found December 29th, just east of the Buffalo Springs Lake entrance. Investigators believe they belong to a young male, between 12 and 19 years of age. Traumatic injuries indicate the victim was killed.
