Lubbock Observes MLK Day

Students at Lubbock Christian University observed Martin Luther King day with a chapel service held in his honor. City Councilman Floyd Price spoke about Ddr. King's legacy and encouraged students to find unity in this diverse nation.

At the Early Learning Centers of Lubbock, children heard stories about the civil rights leader from volunteers of the United Way Youth division. Volunteers spent the morning reading books to children which were provided by the Lubbock Area Literacy Coalition.
