State Commission Coming To Lubbock For Input On Tax Reform - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The State of Texas is asking for your help on tax reform.

The Texas Supreme Court ruled the school finance system unconstitutional because districts are taxing homeowners at maximum rates. Next week the Texas Tax Reform Commission will hold a hearing in Lubbock to gather suggestions on how to reform the state tax structure and reduce property taxes. The hearing is just one of several that will be held across the state.

The public is invited to the meeting Monday at ten o'clock in the morning. It's at the Helen Devitt Jones Auditorium inside the Texas Tech Museum off 4th and Indiana.
