UBS Issues Critical Appeal For Blood Types

Despite successful recent blood drive, United Blood Services is finding itself in trouble again.

"This particular shortage will require a good turnout into next week to get us out of the hole," said Les Long with United Blood Service.

UBS is issuing an urgent appeal for blood donations. Right now, they cannot fill hospital orders for "O positive" , "O negative" and "A negative" blood.

Anyone who donates Thursday through Saturday will receive a T-shirt and a ticket for the Cotton Kings game this Sunday. To donate, stop by UBS at 48th and University or call (806) 741-1752.

What is it Like to Donate Blood?
The blood donation process is easy. Most donors find it a painless and heartwarming experience.
