He's already served time for one murder, now Vernon Gilmore could end up spending the rest of his life in prison for other crimes.

Gilmore pleaded guilty to ten federal firearms and carjacking charges in Lubbock Federal Court Thursday. Gilmore is accused of shooting at a Wolfforth Police officer, then shooting at some homeowners before stealing a truck last April. Gilmore also faces state capital murder charges for the murder of Rex McGuire.

You may recall, McGuire was found shot to death in his home. Gilmore, a convicted murderer, was free on special probation at the time of the murder.
