Lubbock Fugitive Killed By Florida Police After Refusing to Drop Gun

A Lubbock fugitive is dead after Florida authorities shot him. Keith Jester was wanted for armed robbery in Lubbock.

A fingerprint recovered at the scene made Jester the prime suspect in a robbery at the "River Of Life Health Food Shoppe" in the 3300 Block of 82nd Street on January 13th. A tip led Florida authorities to Jester just North of Miami. As officers approached his van, Jester got out of the vehicle with a gun. Officers fired when Jester refused to drop his weapon. The gun was reportedly fake, but the incident is still under investigation.
