Hanging Lights

The lights and decorations have been gone for weeks now but there are some items you don't want to store for next year. The U-S Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling the Mini-light and Chasing light sets sold at Target. The lights pose an electric shock and fire hazard because of undersized and exposed wires. The recall includes the 50 count multi-color mini light sets, 100 count blue mini light sets and 140 count chasing light sets. You can return the lights to Target for a gift card.

Tree Topper

A Spinning Star Christmas Tree Topper can melt or smoke near the "on-off" switch, posing a fire hazard. So Family Dollar stores are recalling the tree topper which sold from September 2005 through December 2005 for about $8. The topper is a plastic star with a gold or silver metallic finish. XMAS LED spinning tree top is written on the box. You can return the star to Family Dollar for a refund.

Child Toys

Now moving onto a recall that may effect the toys your kids play with. Fisher Price is recalling its Laugh and Learn Musical Learning Chair. A child can become lodged between the seat-back and side table of the chair leading to entrapment. The toys were sold nationwide from May 2005 through January 2006 for about $27. Child Crib

The screws on the this crib can come loose, allowing a portion of the mattress to fall. That's why Simplicity is recalling the Graco branded Aspen three in one crib. Five injuries have been reported because of the problem. Only cribs with wooden mattress supports and model number 87-40-KC-W-SC and serial number 28-03-SC to 16-05 are recalled. The cribs sold from August 2003 through May 2005 for about $130. Call Simplicity for a repair kit. The number is 1-800-784-1982.
