Lubbock Police Investigate "Suspicious Deaths" of Two People Found in Their Central Lubbock Home

Lubbock police are investigating what they're calling the "suspicious deaths" of two people at a Central Lubbock home. NewsChannel 11's Kealey McIntire has more information from the scene at 615 28th Street.

No one has seen the couple who lives at the home for three to five weeks. Around six Monday night some relatives showed up, knocked on the door to tell the couple about a funeral. However, nobody answered. That's when the relatives called the police, who then went to the home to see if the couple was okay, but still nobody answered the door.

Police said the doors were locked and they found no signs of forced entry so police forced their way into the house. That's when they found the dead bodies of the couple who lives at the house, an 87-year-old female and a 76-year-old male. Police are not releasing their names pending further investigation. They can't specify how long the couple has been dead, but police say they've been dead for "quite some time." They found no working utilities in the home at the time.

Again it's being treated as a suspicious death until police can conduct further investigation as to why they found two people dead inside the home.
