Teenager Accused of Killing Mother and Grandmother

Monday morning a man accused of killing his mother and grandmother is behind bars. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta brings us the latest developments.

The 19-year-old son and grandson of two women found dead Friday surrendered to authorities Sunday afternoon. Just two days after police found the bodies of Vicki Logan and Wanda Fay Turner, Steven Tyler Logan turned himself into authorities. He is now in the Lubbock County Jail charged with murder.

Steven is the son of Vicki Logan and grandson of Wanda Faye. The bodies of the two women were found inside Turner's home Friday afternoon after Vicki Logan didn't show up for work. Vicki's co-workers went to the home to check on her, and her son, Steven, answered the door. He led them next door to his grandmother's house, at 2711 80th Street, telling them the two women were dead.

Police arrived and questioned Logan but he was ruled out as a suspect. Logan was released Saturday afternoon but just hours later, police issued a warrant for his arrest. At this time, police do not have a motive. Authorities have learned the two women died of strangulation.

Logan is charged with one count of murder but police tell us more charges could follow. Logan is being held on a $500,000 bond.
