Lubbock Police Investigate Shots Fired

A Lubbock convenience store clerk was nearly shot in the head this weekend when a fight broke out inside the store. It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday morning, at the Town and Country on 34th street and I-27. According to the police report, shots were fired inside and outside of the store. Bullets struck cars, glass, a gas pump and one hit a cigarette container nearly missing the clerk's head.

About 40 minutes later, gunfire erupted again. This time it was at Fugees night club in the 1500 block of east 25th street. Police questioned several people at both scenes, but made no arrests.
