Candidate Withdraws Name From LISD Race - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock School Board District-3 Trustee Karen Slay will not seek re-election after all. Slay has served LISD for eight years, but has decided to withdraw her name from this year's election due to an illness in her family.

She says she must put her family first, but will continue to serve as a citizen advocate for public schools.
