Truck Driver on Trial For Death of Three Denver City Teachers

One trial in Yoakum County has the entire community of Denver City watching. The verdict may finally bring closure to the community who lost three teachers in this accident. It happened on December 3rd of 2004. DPS Troopers say a truck driver ran a stop sign and hit a Denver City school mini-van.

The teachers, Veronica Flores, Marina Natividad, and Rosie Garza were on their way to Lubbock for a workshop. The truck driver, Guadalupe Medina is charged with three counts of criminally negligent homicide.

Testimony will continue Wednesday at the Yoakum County Courthouse in Plains.
