280 Bales of Cotton Destroyed in Fire

The Lubbock Fire Department is monitoring a cotton fire, still smoldering in North Lubbock. About 30-firefighters were called to the "Yellowhouse Gin Company around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. That is located in the 300 block of Erskine. It took them about an hour to contain it.

At least 280 bales of cotton were destroyed.
