Colon Cancer Prevention & Awareness Campaign Kicks Off

It's the second leading cause of cancer death in the country. We're talking about colon cancer. Wednesday the 2006 Lubbock Colon Cancer Prevention & Awareness Campaign begins. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta spent the morning with Task Force Chairman Dr. Davor Vugrin learning about the disease and prevention.

The main goal of the Colon Cancer Task force is to reduce colorectal cancer mortality in Lubbock County by 50% . For information on Colon Cancer you can call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit www.cancer.org.
