Texas Tech Student Regent Appointed

The Texas Tech student body know has a voice of its own sitting on the Texas Tech Board of Regents.

Texas Governor Rick Perry appointed Chad Greenfield as the Texas Tech University system student regent. Greenfield is a senior exercise science major from Monahans.

The student regent serves a one year term and cannot vote at regent meetings. Last year, the legislature passed a law that allowed a student to serve on the governing board of a public university.
