Buddy Holly's Personal Items To Be Auctioned

February 3rd is considered the day the music died. That's the day that Lubbock native Buddy Holly and fellow musicians Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson were killed when their plane crashed during a snow storm in Iowa in 1959.

Now, 47 years later, you have your chance to own a piece of rock-n-roll history. Holly's wife, Maria Elena Holly, is auctioning off the watch Buddy was wearing when he died. She's also selling unreleased music recordings, his passport and other personal items.

Bids will be taken April 14th and 15th in Dallas at Heritage Auction Galleries and Auctioneers. For more information, click here.
