LISD Hosts Open Houses At Magnet Schools

Students have a chance to learn about LISD's magnet programs. During the month of February, students are invited to attend open-houses at all magnet school campuses. Lubbock High School will host the first open house, Monday night, to showcase its LEAP Program. It starts at 6:30 and ends at 8:30 p.m. The campus is located at 2004 19th Street.

Here's a look at the rest of this months events:

  • February 7: Middle school magnet showcase, Civic Center from 6:30-9 p.m.
  • February 9: Professional careers magnet open house, Estacado High School, 7-9 p.m.
  • February 13: O.L. Slaton Jr. High open house, 6:30 p.m.
  • February 16: J.T. Hutchinson Jr. High open house, 6:30 p.m.
  • February 23: Dunbar Jr High, 7 p.m.
  • February 28: Cavazos Jr. High, 6:30 p.m.

March 1st is the deadline for students to submit their applications to attend a magnet campus.
