Lubbock Principal Hospitalized After Skiing Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock I.S.D. principal is in a coma at an Albuquerque hospital after a weekend skiing accident.

Blake Rieber is the Assistant Principal for Administration at Lubbock High. He was skiing at Angel Fire when he slid off the slopes and hit a tree. Rieber's pastor Philip Wise tells NewsChannel 11 Rieber is an expert skier and former instructor. Family and friends speculate his equipment may have malfunctioned.

Rieber is married with a 3-year-old son and a baby girl on the way.
