Salvation Army Unveils New Disaster Canteen

Lubbock's Salvation Army is better equipped to respond to disaster thanks to a new state of the art vehicle.

Lubbock's Salvation Army displayed its new disaster canteen on Thursday. The new unit holds twice the capacity than the old one. It also allows volunteers to cook up to 1,000 meals a day.

The Salvation Army will use it to respond to Lubbock and its 18 surrounding counties.
