Suspects Nabbed in Two Year Bank Robbery Spree

Bank surveillance photos from a two year bank robbery spree in Lubbock. Earlier this week, one of the men responsible, James Horton came forward with all the information they needed to know how to find Horton's partner's in crime. The information was stated in court records in the form of a warrant.

They are James Peacock and David Johnson. They were arrested on Thursday in Amarillo. Horton, who is already in a New Mexico jail, wrote police a letter that said, "I can help you solve a lot of cases in Lubbock Texas."

Those cases would be the April 2004 bank robbery at City Bank on Indiana and 50th, the May 2004 bank robbery at the American State Bank on 66th and Indiana, and two robberies at the People's Bank at 34th and Memphis. One of the robberies happened on October of 2004 and then again on July of 2005.

Police say that all three men are responsible for the two robberies at the Plains Bell Federal Credit Union in south Lubbock.

Lubbock police also say Peacock was on parole for a larceny conviction. Peacock is also reported to be a member of a white supremacy group called Aryan Nation. Johnson is a registered sex offender in Amarillo. He was serving probation for his 1999 crime.
