Police are looking for a man who allegedly attacked a woman and her teenage niece during an attempted car jacking in East Lubbock Friday night. Priscilla Soto stopped at 7-11 near Parkway and Zenith around 8:30pm to get gas. When she came outside a man was trying to steal her car with her three kids and niece inside. When Soto ran to the car, she tired to push the man out, that's when he attacked her, beating her in the face and head. The man then attacked the niece when the teen tried to call 911. With the help of two other men, Soto was able to get her kids and niece inside the store, but the man fled.
"I just want to catch him. If someone saw his face that night. There were three kids involved, my niece was involved and I was involved. Just please come forward and help us get him," Pascilla Soto said.
Soto says her attacker was a black man, wearing a black jacket and hat. If you were in the area at the time and saw anything police ask that you call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000 .
